Wayne Cameron Wayne Cameron
His interest in antiques and fine art began about 1976 when he purchased his first small British painting at an auction in Fort Langley, BC. He was immediately infected with the disease of collecting and began his hobby of gathering fine art and antiques that would soon lead to a full time occupation. Wayne has enjoyed some 35 plus years of developing his passion for fine paintings, early antiquities and rare collectibles. He has owned and operated a number of galleries and antique stores in British Columbia, Alberta and now Nova Scotia. A few years ago he became a member of the Canadian Association of Personal Property Appraisers and offers an appraisal service to his clientele. He has also developed an extensive library on fine art, antiques and collectibles to aid him in his research for appraisals, but as he always says "you can't know it all." While he has a a somewhat broad knowledge of fine art, antiquities and collectibles, his specialty is paintings, silver, furniture, arms & armor and recently folk art. Over the years Wayne has developed his own somewhat unique style of "The Antiques Roadshow" and having done them from coast to coast, has designed the event to both inform and entertain participants. Wayne now lives in Chester, NS with his wife Jocelyn where he has operated an antiques and fine art gallery for the past 10 years.

The Treasures of Mahone Bay Festival (July 9-10, 2011) is hosted by and in support of The Mahone Bay Founders Society. The Society is dedicated to the stewardship of our area heritage and operates the Mahone Bay Settlers Museum, a vibrant community based organization, serving and engaging residents and visitors through the preservation and celebration of our unique history and culture.
